About The Position

Waypoint is seeking an exceptional, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Manager of Health, Well-being and Independence. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for advancing innovative approaches to delivering quality services for children with special health care needs, adults with disabilities and seniors to age in place with dignity. The Manager of Health, Wellbeing and Independence will provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for programs serving children/families with special health care needs, adults with disabilities and seniors. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, strong community partnerships, and measurable outcomes aligned with Waypoint’s mission and values. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage program performance, and play a key role in informing/shaping regional strategies to address needs for the populations served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in nursing, health care administration, public health, social services or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in community-based care, human services, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and contract management
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Consistent on‑site presence, strong follow‑through, timely decision‑making, and proactive communication to maintain operational stability
  • The Manager will be based primarily in Manchester with periodical travel across the state
