About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Hotel Commercial, this is a strategic, high-visibility role within our Global Business Partnerships division. In this position, you'll drive revenue by negotiating hotel supplier agreements that create value for travelers, suppliers, and Amex GBT alike. As Manager of GSP, you'll lead end-to-end supplier management — from contract negotiation and execution to business development and strategic partnership programs, including our Hotel Growth Initiative (HGI).

Requirements

  • Fluent English (written/verbal); multilingual a plus
  • Commercial, data-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic skills
  • Proven negotiator with a track record of structuring and closing strong agreements/deals
  • Strong problem-solving skills; excels in ambiguity and under pressure
  • Deep knowledge of hotels, hotel agreements, and the broader TMC/travel supplier landscape
  • Working knowledge of revenue management and travel tech platforms (GDS, POS, booking tools)
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills across all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and remotely, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments; flexible to travel domestically/internationally

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute profitable hotel supplier contracts that deliver measurable value across all stakeholders while advancing Amex GBT's commercial objectives
  • Identify, develop, and drive implementation of incremental revenue opportunities with existing and prospective suppliers
  • Operationalize supplier value propositions and establish strategies to ensure all business development commitments are realized
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through innovative engagement approaches and channels beyond conventional sales models
  • Analyze portfolio metrics, track business performance, and develop revenue forecasts in coordination with the Global Revenue Management team
  • Collaborate across departments and regions—including Traveler Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, Meetings & Events, Global Business Consulting, and GBP teams—to align strategies, enhance engagement, and optimize collective outcomes
