About The Position

The Gaming Operations Manager is responsible for managing the successful daily operations of the Gaming Operations team and maintaining a high standard of customer service with front-of-house associates at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming.

Requirements

At least 5 years of progressive experience within the gaming industry.
Two years of experience managing personnel.
Ability to obtain a KHRC License.
Demonstrated management abilities in managing gaming operation effectiveness.
Ability to promote positive customer relations, greet customers, and create a friendly atmosphere.
Ability to ensure the safety and security of team members and guests.
Ability to maintain interpersonal working relationships among personnel and support departments.
Creative problem-solving and resolution-management skills.
Adherence to state gaming regulations.
Oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to assume overall responsibility for department performance, work flexible hours, and handle high-pressure deadlines.

Nice To Haves

A four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing team members and participate in interviews, selection, hiring, coaching, retention, and termination.
Assist with recruitment, including job postings and recruiting metrics.
Complete and process performance reviews.
Review and manage departmental financial data.
Maintain current knowledge of gaming laws, regulations, and internal controls applicable to areas of responsibility.
Schedule gaming staff according to forecasted volume for bar areas.
Maintain knowledge of marketing promotions and gaming facility events.
Develop and maintain customer loyalty.
Safeguard gaming assets.
Monitor, direct, supervise, and observe gaming activities for adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
Ensure guest service standards are met.
Approve and verify gaming machine payouts and fills.
Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property’s BSA policy.
Monitor for suspicious transactions as defined by the BSA.
Perform other duties as assigned.
