About The Position

The Manager, Financial Systems and Transformation supports the Sr. Director, Accounting Transformation and Operations by leading the execution, optimization, and ongoing support of accounting-related financial systems and transformation initiatives. The role manages accounting systems and technology, drives process improvement, and strengthens accounting data quality, reporting, governance, and controls. It also oversees projects and change activities and leads Financial Systems, Business Analyst, and project resources in partnership with Accounting, Finance, IT, and external vendors.

Requirements

Seven years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or finance transformation.
Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, data, and internal controls.
People leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with NetSuite, Great Plains, Oracle, Snowflake, and SOX.
Experience within the automotive insurance or service contract industry.

Responsibilities

Manage and improve accounting systems, including ERP, reporting, reconciliation, analytics, workflow, and automation tools.
Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution.
Lead accounting transformation initiatives focused on automation, standardization, stronger controls, efficiency, and reducing manual processes.
Improve accounting data quality, reporting, governance, and system controls while supporting IFRS, 52-109, statutory reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
Manage multiple system and process projects, including requirements gathering, testing, defect resolution, data validation, implementation, training, and post-launch support.
Lead and develop Financial Systems, Business Analyst, and project resources.
Partner with Accounting, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver improvements and resolve issues.
