Financial Systems Manager
About The Position
The Financial Systems Manager oversees the effective use of the firm’s business systems across project planning and management, resource management, accounting, marketing, human resources, and other service areas. The role maintains the ERP and related systems, configures and supports Deltek products, and develops and tests solutions that meet evolving business needs. The position works with service areas, developers, consultants, and external resources to understand requirements, improve business processes, support implementations and integrations, and manage system changes. It also provides user support and training, documents platform changes, and helps ensure that projects meet scope, budget, and timeframe requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Deltek Vantagepoint System Administrator, Consultant, or Developer.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and their application in Deltek products, including Vantagepoint, Vision, and Ajera.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and lead programs and projects to successful completion.
Nice To Haves
- Deltek Vantagepoint Certification.
- Knowledge of EleVia products, including Electronic Invoicing, Payables Approval & Tracking, and A/R Management & Collections.
- Experience working in the A/E/C industry.
- Experience in Accounting and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize business systems, including user management, security configuration, system updates, and data integrity oversight.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Deltek products, including Vantagepoint, Vision, and Ajera, and on other business systems.
- Partner with service areas to document business requirements and understand objectives for Deltek Vantagepoint and integrated systems.
- Recommend and implement best practices for system configurations and business process improvements.
- Assist end-users in resolving problems promptly.
- Lead testing of Deltek upgrades, patches, and releases in Development, Sandbox, and Production on-premise environments.
- Conduct system process testing and quality assurance for implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Support additional application implementations, key processes, integrations, and change management initiatives.
- Collaborate with developers, consultants, and other external resources to implement complex changes.
- Document and communicate platform changes to business users and stakeholders through established procedures and training.
- Conduct internal training on business systems and processes and develop corresponding materials.
- Adhere to project scope, budget, and timeframe requirements.
- Maintain open communication with the project coordinator regarding project status and details.
- Stay informed about product roadmaps and enhancements and propose opportunities to integrate new developments into the operating environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
