About The Position

Serve as the facility operations and maintenance point of contact for the George Gervin GameAbove (G3) Center. Manage event operations for special and external events in the G3 Center. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the G3 Center, coordinating daily schedules and supply orders for custodial crews at all athletic facilities, and assisting in the development of a comprehensive facilities master plan for the division of athletics. The position also includes hiring, training, and supervising staff and students on event operations and facility management, while ensuring adherence to all NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and Eastern Michigan University policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sports management or related field is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years directly-related experience involving athletic facilities and event operations management is required.
• Two years of sound, lighting and video equipment experience is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Working knowledge of University and NCAA rules and regulations is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends.
• Ability to do heavy lifting is necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations and operational procedures.
• Perform related departmental duties, as required.
