Distribution Engineering seeks a highly motivated management professional to join its Engineering & Analysis team within the System & Program Engineering, Analysis and Reporting (SPEAR) Department. The Engineering Manager will advance strategic initiatives and ad hoc assignments through direct technical contributions and by leading teams, with a primary focus on reducing cable failure driven risk across the electric distribution system. This role supports improvements in public safety, operational excellence, and customer experience by translating system data and engineering insight into actionable solutions. The successful candidate will lead the development and application of engineering and analytical solutions that capture and quantify steady state and transient system conditions, support secondary system event response with a focus on root cause determination, and expand the tools and analytical capabilities used to guide operational and programmatic decisions. The role requires regular interaction with bargaining unit employees, engineers, and multiple levels of management, and demands clear, concise communication of complex technical findings. This position requires a demonstrated ability to engineer, plan, schedule, and control moderate to complex engineering projects, programs, and analytical efforts, along with strong written, oral, and presentation skills. Candidates should be comfortable leading teams, setting priorities, and delivering high quality work products under time and operational constraints.
