About The Position

The Manager, Digital Integrations leads the design, development, delivery, and operational support of enterprise integration solutions across Odyssey’s technology ecosystem. The role provides technical and people leadership for integration engineers supporting Odyssey business divisions, customers, carriers, and technology partners. It advances integration capabilities across Boomi iPaaS, APIs, EDI/B2B, TMS, ERP platforms, and file-based integrations, promoting a more standardized, API-first architecture while maintaining the reliability of mission-critical integrations and supporting responsible adoption of AI-assisted development and integration capabilities. This hybrid role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and follows a Monday–Friday standard business schedule averaging 40 hours per week. Occasional after-hours availability is needed for production incidents or critical implementations, and travel is approximately 5–10%. The manager supervises integration engineers, contractors, and offshore resources and reports to the Director of Digital Integrations.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, EDI/B2B, API development, or related technology disciplines.
2+ years of technical or team leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex integrations across multiple enterprise systems.
Ability to operate independently alongside senior business and technology leadership.
Strong experience with several of the following: Boomi or comparable enterprise iPaaS technology; REST APIs and API management; XML, JSON, XSLT, and flat-file formats; EDI X12 and/or EDIFACT; AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, and related B2B protocols; OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and integration security; CI/CD, source control, and modern development lifecycle practices.
Strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, architecture and design skills, and cross-functional and executive communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, 3PL/4PL, freight brokerage, or managed transportation.
Boomi or comparable integration-platform certifications.
Exposure to AI-assisted integration development.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support for enterprise integrations, managing concurrent initiatives and setting priorities, ownership, and accountability.
Lead, mentor, and develop integration engineers and technical contractors across distributed teams, including technical coaching, design reviews, resource planning, and succession support.
Partner with the Director of Digital Integrations to implement the enterprise integration strategy and promote reusable patterns, canonical data models, and standardized frameworks.
Drive RESTful, API-first integration patterns and modern B2B/EDI connectivity, while modernizing legacy integrations and maintaining operational continuity for customers and carriers.
Lead production incidents and integration-related escalations; ensure consistent monitoring, alerting, and error-handling procedures; and lead root-cause analysis and corrective action.
Serve as an integration leader for business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and technology partners, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
Identify opportunities to improve integration delivery speed, reliability, and supportability, and evaluate new capabilities and emerging technologies.
Evaluate practical uses of AI-assisted capabilities in integration design, development, testing, and support, establishing guardrails for validation, security, and human review.
