About the position
We are seeking a collaborative and experienced leader to join our team as the Manager, Data Platform. In this role, you will lead the development and growth of our data processes, systems, and team, overseeing critical infrastructure that powers our business on a daily basis. This is an opportunity to have a direct and long-term impact on our growth, improving how we use data to better serve our customers and scale our operations. You will be responsible for managing and growing a distributed team of data and analytics engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data platform, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and availability of our data assets.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a distributed team of data and analytics engineers
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the data platform, including databases, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, observability, and related tools
- Work closely with members of the Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure data initiatives and resources are aligned with company goals
- Implement and maintain a framework to ensure the accuracy, integrity, security, and availability of data assets
- Optimize communication and collaboration across business and technical resources, providing training and support to foster an inclusive culture that drives innovation
- Define and report on key performance metrics related to system usage and effectiveness
- Manage vendor relationships, including consultants and software providers
- Ensure that systems and processes are compliant with data privacy, security, and other regulatory requirements (e.g. CCPA / CRPA)
Requirements
- 7+ years experience managing data infrastructure and teams
- Deep knowledge of SaaS ETL tools (Stitch)
- Ability to manage and grow a distributed team of data and analytics engineers
- Experience overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of data platforms, including databases, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, observability, and related tools
- Strong collaboration skills with Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to align data initiatives with company goals
- Implementation and maintenance of a framework to ensure accuracy, integrity, security, and availability of data assets
- Optimization of communication and collaboration across business and technical resources
- Ability to define and report on key performance metrics related to system usage and effectiveness
- Experience managing vendor relationships, including consultants and software providers
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CCPA / CRPA)
