About the position
We are seeking a collaborative and experienced leader to join our team as the Manager, Data Platform. In this role, you will lead the development and growth of our data processes, systems, and team, overseeing critical infrastructure that powers our business on a daily basis. This is an opportunity to have a direct and long-term impact on our growth, improving how we use data to better serve our customers and scale our operations. You will be responsible for managing and growing a distributed team of data and analytics engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data platform, and working closely with other teams to ensure data initiatives are aligned with company goals.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- 7+ years experience managing data infrastructure and teams
- Deep knowledge of SaaS ETL tools (Stitch)
- Experience overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of data platforms, including databases, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, observability, and related tools
- Ability to work closely with Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to align data initiatives with company goals
- Strong understanding of data governance and the importance of ensuring long-term scalability
- Passion for data democratization and end-user enablement
- Proactive in managing risks and communicating both good and bad news
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills
- Bias for action and embrace a test and learn approach
- Inquisitive, love to learn, embrace failure, and never give up
- Comfortable in a hybrid/remote (depending on location), fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment
- Experience managing vendor relationships, including consultants and software providers
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CCPA / CRPA)
