About The Position

Audio Network is a global music company creating original, high-quality music for use in TV, film, advertising, and branded content across digital and social platforms. With a roster of over 1,000 artists and a catalogue of +280,000 tracks across every conceivable genre, Audio Network helps customers find the perfect track to tell their story. This role is based in the Los Angeles office and is hybrid, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday, and remote work on Monday and Friday. The candidate will be part of the Sales & Creative teams and will spend time pitching to West Coast TV and Film clients, analyzing user data to inform decisions and recommendations, creating playlists, and participating in industry events. The ideal candidate will have a background in music and knowledge of the US Television Production Market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience within sync/publishing/sales.
  • Established relationships within the U.S. Television production and broadcast community.
  • Proven record of scheduling and attending client meetings.
  • Experienced in pitching and placing music in productions and films.
  • Experience researching and prospecting new clients.
  • Proven success with negotiating and closing sync deals.
  • Excellent proactive client management/customer success skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and respond to changing demands.
  • Creative and solution-oriented approach and takes initiative to improve ways of working.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for and expert knowledge in music.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Knowledge of music, TV, and Film content.
  • Understanding of which production companies make which programming for unscripted content, and which music supervisors are selecting music for scripted content.
  • Understanding of how and why music moves others, and how to find music for and communicate music to clients.
  • Confidence to create compelling pitches and communicate ideas articulately.
  • Solid client-facing experience.
  • Experience presenting and networking within the Television Production and Broadcast space.
  • Someone with spark, initiative and creative flare.
  • Ability to think outside and around the box.
  • Experience using a CRM is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships in the indie Film community is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Putting together music briefs and presenting/pitching music to clients.
  • Analyzing user data to drive business with existing clients.
  • Researching the market and finding new clients to target.
  • Proactively reaching out and engaging prospective clients.
  • Administrative duties involved in account managing clients and dealing with music licenses.
  • Participating and contributing in weekly and monthly team meetings, providing insight and guidance into how working hours are spent.
  • Managing existing creative relationships and building new relationships with producers and editors from Broadcasters and production companies.
  • Getting to know the catalogue, artists, producers, and composers to pitch the right tracks.
  • Providing feedback to the music team regarding catalogue gaps and hot spots.
  • Identifying and acting on creative opportunities in licensing or marketing.
