About The Position

Capital One’s Community Finance team originates debt and equity to support affordable housing development. It provides debt financing and invests in low-income housing credits through proprietary and multifund equity fund structures. The Governance and Process Operations team supports sustainable growth by optimizing processes and establishing proactive risk governance so the business can operate more efficiently and resiliently. The Manager helps strengthen Community Finance’s operating environment by applying governance and risk practices and improving supporting processes. Working with business partners and stakeholders, the role assesses current practices, identifies opportunities to manage risk and strengthen or simplify processes, develops recommendations, and coordinates implementation. The role also builds stakeholder understanding and supports adoption to ensure practices and processes are effective, sustainable, and aligned with business needs. This is an individual-contributor role that leads through subject-matter ownership and influence. It requires curiosity, rigorous analysis, comfort with data, and the ability to examine assumptions and explore solutions to complex problems. The role works in a matrixed environment and contributes across governance, risk, and process work as business needs evolve.
