About The Position

Oversees information technology cloud related activities within assigned scope of responsibility for one or more major functional areas within the information technology arena. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient systems and service delivery to meet current and future demands. Identifies and pursues opportunities for improving service delivery methods and support procedures. Monitors industry trends for applicability and technology direction. Optimizes technology approaches to support company business processes and technology information systems platforms. Provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial and operational activities. Manages experienced, professional employees and/or supervisors; and/or manages large, complex technical and/or business support teams. Accountable for the performance and results of a team and/or department. Interprets and administers policies, processes and procedures that affect direct reports and the workflow of the team/department. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Contributes to budget development and performance standards of department and direct reports. Assignments are defined in the form of objectives. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, business plans and independent judgment. Collaborates with team(s), customers/ clients, functional peer group managers and occasionally senior management. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives. Decisions may have impact on work processes and outcomes. Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in serious delays and considerable expenditures of additional time, people and/or financial resources.

Requirements

  • Azure experience is critical
  • Typically 6+ years including 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • This position will have access to ITAR product and therefore be authorized to access product. This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Leading a weekly cloud governance meeting, where decisions regarding network design, security policies and project status are discussed.
  • Managing cloud infrastructure support, including server builds, network connectivity, private endpoints, DNS name resolution and firewall design.
  • Responsible for all cloud role-based access control (RBAC). This includes requesting creation to groups. This includes membership in management groups, plus read-only and contributor access to the Azure tenant, subscriptions and resource groups.
  • Defining cloud monitoring standards and the codification of them as Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) scripts.
  • Determining and documenting cloud data protection standards.
  • Leading the administration of the enterprise code repository.
  • Developing and maintaining all Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and associated runbooks.
  • Developing and maintaining application resilience via disaster recovery standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
