About The Position

The Manager - Buying is responsible for material procurement and planning for casting and forging parts required for vehicles and aggregates, including Engine, Transmission (TM), Axle, and Foundry operations. The role uses IT tools to plan, monitor, and control inventory; aligns supplier capacity with material requirements; and manages inventory to support uninterrupted production. It also oversees engineering change processes and drives cost-saving initiatives in packaging, procurement, and logistics. The position coordinates with suppliers and internal production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and improve supply chain effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.

• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile.

Responsibilities

• Procure and plan casting and forging parts required for vehicles and aggregates, including Engine, Transmission (TM), Axle, and Foundry operations.
• Use IT tools such as DBM, LTP, and MRP for planning, monitoring, and inventory control.
• Plan supplier capacity in line with material requirements and escalate capacity gaps or supply constraints in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory to maintain optimum stock levels and ensure uninterrupted production.
• Manage Engineering Change Note (ECN/EN) processes and implement change management requirements.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives in packaging, material procurement, and logistics.
• Coordinate and implement packaging cost reduction and logistics optimization projects to achieve departmental cost-saving targets.
• Coordinate with suppliers and production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor material supply performance and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain effectiveness.
