About The Position

The Manager, Business Analytics will help own Moloco’s revenue forecast, developing, testing, and refining advertiser-spend and revenue models across the business and its product lines. The role uses driver-based and statistical methods, backtests models regularly, and tracks forecast accuracy against agreed tolerances and the current baseline. The position runs weekly and quarterly revenue management cycles, including reporting, forecast refreshes, and variance analysis. It analyzes revenue levers and pricing performance across advertiser segments and verticals, then shares findings and recommended actions that balance revenue growth with advertiser value. In partnership with Finance, Sales, and Product, the role translates market and account-level signals and product roadmaps into projections that inform planning and go-to-market decisions. The role also builds dashboards and automation to make reporting faster, more reliable, and self-serve. It documents methodology and validates data and logic—including AI-assisted work—to ensure results are accurate, reproducible, and defensible.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in analytics, revenue analytics, FP&A, or strategy.
  • Hands-on experience building and validating driver-based and statistical forecast models, such as time-series and regression models, with regular backtesting.
  • Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery or similar) and Python.
  • Fluency using AI tools to accelerate analysis, with the judgment to review outputs and catch bad joins, double counts, and logic errors.
  • Experience running recurring, deadline-driven reporting and forecast cycles accurately, triaging ad hoc requests, and documenting assumptions.
  • Skill in root-cause variance analysis, including separating volume, mix, pricing, seasonality, and one-off effects and connecting findings to recommended actions.
  • Ability to explain model assumptions to non-technical partners and align Finance, Sales, and Product around the numbers.
  • Understanding of how auction, supply, demand, and budget dynamics drive advertiser spend, and good judgment about tradeoffs between revenue growth and advertiser value.
  • Ability to automate repeated manual work through dashboards and pipelines.
