About The Position

Hollywood Park is a nearly 300-acre sports and entertainment destination being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke, with SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. It is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States, planned to include residences, a hotel, retail, office space, and public parks. SoFi Stadium hosts major sporting and entertainment events, including the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff National Championship, WrestleMania, the World Cup, and the Olympics. Adjacent to the stadium is a 2.5-acre open-air plaza, American Airlines Plaza, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater, a versatile venue for various events. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business and event strategy.
  • Live Entertainment, Sports Management and/or Event Management, Marketing and industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of producing deal structures across a variety of event types.
  • Strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to persuade others, build consensus and work in a team environment.
  • Strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with engaging in a variety of communicative modes and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments and trends in booking, sports, and entertainment.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate large projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and advanced working knowledge of Excel is a must.
  • Working knowledge of all areas of venue management, including Marketing, Ticketing, Event Operations, Food & Beverage and Sponsorship.
  • Experience working with convention & visitor bureaus, regional sports commissions, and/or regional event management booking in a regional sports and/or convention center.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing needs and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Occasional Traveling (less than 25% travel): On some occasions, trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights. Travel likely to include industry conferences, client events & music festivals.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior leadership in setting and achieving strategic goals for diverse, high-quality programming, guest experience enhancement, and revenue growth.
  • Contribute to the development of event concepts.
  • Secure events through strong relationships with promoters.
  • Evaluate the strategic and financial impact of potential programming.
  • Identify and implement new revenue and cost-management opportunities.
  • Participate in deal negotiations.
  • Ensure successful execution of contractual obligations.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to develop new event opportunities.
  • Book traditional events as capacity allows.
  • Assist the Programming team in managing event bookings across SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, and Hollywood Park.
  • Identify new event opportunities across concerts, sports, and community gatherings.
  • Cultivate partnerships and craft compelling event pitches that align with the venue’s brand and strategic vision.
  • Develop programming plans to drive attendance and revenue, leveraging data insights, market research, and industry trends.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for promoters, artists, and external partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Provide strategic oversight for assigned events, ensuring alignment with programming objectives, maximizing revenue potential, and enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance profitability, explore additional revenue streams, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, sharing insights to support programming initiatives.
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with local and national promoters, booking agents, talent representatives, and production agencies.
  • Continuously expand professional networks to drive new event opportunities.
  • Conceptualize and develop unique event ideas that maximize revenue by utilizing the distinctive amenities, prime location, and expansive Hollywood Park campus.
  • Implement an event booking strategy focused on generating revenue through smaller-scale activations in ancillary spaces.
  • Manage a high volume of event contracts, deal memos, and term sheets, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assess event viability against strategic goals and financial targets.
  • Lead negotiation and execution of event deals, securing favorable terms.
  • Develop and execute market-specific events that generate appropriate returns.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze event revenue projections and performance, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze and report event performance insights to senior management.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ensure effective and strategic utilization of venue availability to maximize facility usage.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (marketing, box office, operations, finance) to coordinate booking efforts.
  • Provide prompt, professional responses to external organizations, agencies, departments, and key stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports.
  • Assist in managing departmental and event budgets.
  • Conduct market research and compile data to support booking efforts.
