About The Position
The Manager, Billing Operations, leads oversight and continuous improvement of billing and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The role uses financial analysis to manage risk and support reporting in alignment with regulatory standards. It collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize operational workflows and deliver timely financial statements, while driving process enhancements and adherence to company policies. The role is part of the Walmart Data Ventures Invoicing team, which manages the revenue lifecycle for Walmart’s data and analytics products. The team provides precise, scalable, client-centered billing solutions and works across finance, technology, analytics, and business enablement to address operational challenges, drive automation, and improve processes. The position is based at 1601 SE 10th St, Bentonville, AR 72716, United States of America.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of billing systems, accounts receivable, and invoicing processes within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory frameworks, and accounting principles affecting billing operations.
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Experience managing stakeholder communications and resolving billing inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Skill in continuous improvement processes to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Proficiency in ad hoc reporting and leveraging financial systems to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee billing operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing aligned with regulatory and accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to support reporting, reconciliation, and month-end close activities.
- Manage stakeholder communications to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize billing processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain data integrity and support risk management protocols.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial statements reflecting updated accounting treatments and business transactions.
