About The Position

Department 425, Electrical Systems Software and Cybersecurity, is seeking a Management Systems Coordinator - IT. This hands-on technical role maintains and optimizes shipboard submarine IT systems and test support equipment, ensuring applications, networks, and hardware are reliable, secure, and continuously available with minimal disruption to operations. The position develops and maintains system security plans, POA&Ms, and required risk management artifacts in support of the RMF process. Domestic travel of up to 25%, or 2–5 days per month, is required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field, or 3–5 years of experience in IT.
• Experience with NIST 800-53.
• Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security clearance.
• Expert critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex IT issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical information to non-technical staff.
• Ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work with Active Directory, various networking topologies, and Group Policy.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency and familiarity with manipulating settings within Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
• Demonstrated experience with NIST 800-171 and the full RMF lifecycle (NIST 800-37).
