About The Position

The Management Development Program (MDP) is an intensive, 12-month immersion program at a U.S.-based resort. Participants gain work experience across multiple departments while developing and demonstrating leadership, management, and hospitality skills alongside resort leadership. The program combines learning activities, task-based assignments, practical work experience, and opportunities to practice leadership. Participants are paired with a dedicated mentor or sponsor and follow department-focused checklists with weekly focus areas. They interact with owners, guests, and associates while building operational expertise. For this opening, the program location is Palm Desert, California. This is a non-exempt management position paid hourly, with overtime paid in accordance with state and federal law. The stated annual salary is $54,500, equivalent to $26.20 per hour, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus; the described hourly range is $25.00 to $27.41 depending on location.

Requirements

• Earn a bachelor's degree by the time the program begins.
• Be a recent graduate within the current semester or up to two years post-graduation.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management is preferred; a Business or Hospitality minor will also be considered.
• Prior hospitality or resort operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through multiple resort departments over the 12-month program to develop a comprehensive understanding of resort operations.
• Complete department-focused checklists and weekly focus-area assignments.
• Participate in learning activities, task-based assignments, and practical work experience.
• Develop and demonstrate leadership, management, hospitality, and operational skills.
• Interact with resort owners, guests, and associates.
