As a Management and Program Analyst, you will manage the review and decision-making processes, coordinating the development, clearance, and submission of documents for the USCIS Director's Office review and approval.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
  • Residency Requirement: Candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
  • Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
  • Must have one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Experience performing the majority of the following duties: Informing management on the development and implementation of new policy, guidelines, and regulations. Responding to policy and program inquiries in accordance to research performed. Completing analysis of data and identifying significant findings. Providing guidance on policies, priorities, regulations, and emerging legislation regarding official correspondence and task management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and shares information with customers and stakeholders in efforts to assist decision makers.
  • Coordinates and leads collaboration efforts with subject matter experts within the Program Offices and Directorates to coordinate responses.
  • Serves as a representative of the Executive Secretariat, as directed, in dealings with DHS Components in order to build support for strategy and policy initiatives.
  • Participates in management initiatives, research analysis, and on a wide variety of tasks and assignments.
  • Analyzes the impact of new, revised, and proposed legislation in the development of administrative guidance, policies, and guidelines.
  • Informing management on the development and implementation of new policy, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Responding to policy and program inquiries in accordance to research performed.
  • Completing analysis of data and identifying significant findings.
  • Providing guidance on policies, priorities, regulations, and emerging legislation regarding official correspondence and task management programs.
