About The Position

These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, in Arlington, Virginia; Houston, Texas; Irving, Texas; Los Angeles, California; Miami, Florida; Seattle, Washington; Sunrise, Florida. These are non-bargaining unit positions. As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-12 you will perform the following duties: Conduct analytical studies and evaluations to assess and improve the effectiveness of agency programs, operations, and management processes. Serve as ICE's internal communication point of contact. Design and conduct management studies to address specific program challenges. Identify performance indicators, designing data collection methodologies, and applying statistical techniques to evaluate program outcomes. Apply this knowledge to support the evaluation of program activities and identify opportunities for resource optimization. Monitor emerging trends and developments in program management and evaluation to ensure the agency remains responsive to changing priorities and challenges.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.

  • Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Presenting findings and recommendations to management and supporting the implementation of proposed solutions; and Applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of public programs; and Contributing to the development of standard operating procedures and advising on the implementation of new processes.
