About The Position
The Make Ready Technician maintains efficient property operations by clearing out and preparing vacant apartment units for new residents. The role completes make-ready work and move-in service requests according to established checklists, supports other maintenance and preventive maintenance work, and communicates positively with residents, vendors, and coworkers. The technician may participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed. Weekend work may be required. The position must follow company policies, including safety and Fair Housing requirements. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of the pre-employment process, which may include criminal background, motor vehicle reporting, drug testing, and reference checks. Requirements
- Two years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC experience with Type 1 & 2 or Universal certification preferred.
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clear out and dispose of items left behind after move-out.
- Complete make-ready apartment service according to the move-out checklist, including painting tasks.
- Perform new move-in service requests according to the move-in checklist.
- Assist with taking inventory of supplies and provide the supervisor with a list of needed supplies.
- Assist with other service requests.
- Assist with preventive maintenance projects.
- Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
- Adhere to company policies, including safety and Fair Housing requirements.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
