About The Position

The Make Ready Technician maintains efficient property operations by clearing out and preparing vacant apartments for new residents. The role includes completing make-ready work according to move-out checklists, including painting, and completing new move-in service requests. The technician may also assist with other service requests and preventive maintenance projects, help track supplies, and escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director. The position may involve on-call rotation and emergency response, and weekend work may be required.

The technician is expected to communicate positively with residents, vendors, and co-workers and follow company policies, including safety and Fair Housing requirements. The work takes place indoors and outdoors in varied conditions and involves frequent physical activity, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and handling items weighing up to or over 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Two years of maintenance experience is preferred.
• Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC experience with Type 1 and 2 or Universal certification.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Clear out and dispose of items left behind after move-out.
• Complete make-ready work in apartments according to move-out checklists, including painting tasks.
• Perform new move-in service requests according to move-in checklists.
• Assist with taking inventory of supplies and provide the supervisor with a list of needed supplies.
• Assist with other service requests.
• Assist with preventive maintenance projects.
• Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Adhere to company policies, including safety and Fair Housing policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
