About The Position

This position is based at Packaging Corporation of America’s Box Plant in Columbus, Indiana. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. Technicians work as part of a team in a production environment, safely completing preventive maintenance activities and responding to breakdown calls. Maintenance positions are multicraft, and training is provided to develop these skills. The plant operates three shifts; technicians are assigned according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts may arise when the organization or production schedules change.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• A technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry.

Responsibilities
