About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, troubleshoots, overhauls, and repairs stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This is an in-person, third-shift role working 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in the Operations department. Overtime may be required. The company does not provide relocation assistance. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are required.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Experience moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Overtime may be required.
Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Mechanical and equipment experience in an industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
Interpret blueprints and schematics when working on machines.
Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Operate machine tools such as welders, lathes, and grinders to fabricate parts required during machinery overhaul, maintenance, or setup.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on machinery.
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Complete required paperwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
