About The Position

Founder's House of Hope, a 98-bed assisted living facility for adults ages 59 and older in Artesia, California, is seeking an experienced, results-driven Maintenance Worker to help maintain the facility. Duties include preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, minimal construction, and general facility upkeep. The position is listed as full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; scheduling is flexible and may include weekends and holidays. The role also supports resident admissions and discharges, contractor services, supply inventory, and the maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry teams. Candidates must clear the DOJ/FBI Live Scan criminal background check required by licensing and pass a pre-employment physical and TB test. A high school diploma or GED is required. Cooking and kitchen experience is preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and janitorial tasks for the facility.
Control and maintain services provided by outside contractors.
Assist with resident admissions and discharges.
Perform routine preventative maintenance checks.
Order, receive, and maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
Manage and train maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry personnel to support care, operations, and cleanliness.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by administration.
