About The Position

Founder's House of Hope is seeking an experienced, results-driven Maintenance Worker to assist with upkeep at its 98-bed assisted living facility for adults ages 59 and older in Artesia, California. The work includes preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, minimal construction, and general facility upkeep. The posted schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible weekends and holidays. The position also involves overseeing and training maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry personnel.

Requirements

Clear the DOJ/FBI Live Scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
Pass a pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be available for flexible scheduling, which may include weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Experience in cooking and kitchen work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and janitorial tasks for the facility.
Control and maintain outside contractor services.
Assist with resident admissions and discharges.
Perform routine preventative maintenance checks.
Order, receive, and maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
Manage and train maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry personnel to support care, operations, and cleanliness.
Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
