About The Position

Founder's House of Hope, a 98-bed assisted living facility for elderly residents ages 59 and older in Artesia, California, is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and hardworking Maintenance Tech to help maintain the facility. The work includes facility upkeep such as preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and minimal construction. The listed schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the role is full-time; the posting also notes flexible scheduling and says the position may include weekends and holidays. The position performs general maintenance and janitorial tasks, coordinates outside contractors, assists with resident admissions and discharges, completes preventative maintenance checks, and manages supplies and inventory. It also manages and trains maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry personnel to help maintain care, operations, and cleanliness. Additional duties may be assigned by administration.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to clear the DOJ/FBI Live Scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
Must pass a pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in cooking and kitchen work preferred.
Experience in facility upkeep, including preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and minimal construction.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and janitorial tasks for the facility.
Control and maintain outside contractor services.
Assist with resident admissions and discharges.
Perform routine preventative maintenance checks.
Order, receive, and maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
Manage and train maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry personnel to ensure care, operations, and cleanliness are maintained.
Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
