About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform general maintenance duties in a healthcare facility. The role handles facility maintenance and repairs, including simple carpentry, electrical maintenance, pipefitting, plumbing, replacing light bulbs, painting and patchwork, groundskeeping, and lubricating or performing basic maintenance on machines and equipment. It also carries out skilled technical work involving the repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of facility-related systems where able. Duties may include troubleshooting and repairing boilers, heat pumps, air-conditioning systems, chillers, and refrigeration units, or assisting and monitoring outside service providers while they work on site.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health provides inpatient and intensive outpatient mental health and substance use treatment programs for adults and adolescents in the Tucson area. The organization describes a longstanding reputation for stability in treatment services, dating to 1960.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably one year of experience in facilities or plant operations.
• Experience in painting, drywall, air conditioning/heating, and basic electrical or generator work.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties in a healthcare facility.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, replacement, and installation for facility-related needs where able.
• Perform simple carpentry, electrical maintenance, pipefitting, and plumbing tasks.
• Replace light bulbs; perform painting and patchwork; and maintain grounds.
• Lubricate and perform simple maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Perform other general maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers, heat pumps, air-conditioning systems, chillers, and refrigeration units, as applicable.
• Assist or monitor other parties providing on-site service.
