Maintenance Technician - Avana Hamptons
About The Position
This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. The role is at Avana Hamptons, a 230-unit garden-style apartment and townhome community in Puyallup, Washington. The technician provides timely resident service and repairs, prepares apartments for new residents, maintains exterior buildings and parking areas, assists with vendors, and performs routine equipment maintenance and inspections. The position offers an hourly range of $23.00–$25.00, with possible bonus incentives and additional compensation based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Previous experience with painting, entry-level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
- High level of professionalism in manner and dress.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service as part of a team.
- Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner, including appliance repairs.
- Prepare apartments for new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas.
- Assist with vendor management and other duties.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment.
