About The Position

Austin Industrial is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment. This role involves work both indoors and outdoors and requires strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools. The technician will be responsible for maintaining production and distribution by pulling orders, delivering materials, and staging products for shipping. Requirements

  • Must be able to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
  • Work to be performed both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be experienced with hand and power tools.
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
  • Hand and power tool experience.
  • 1-3 years mechanical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience helpful.
  • Forklift Experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Escort vendors and subcontractors.
