About The Position

Bozzuto is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain residences and support a welcoming, safe community. The role includes resolving service tickets and completing preventative maintenance, repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, and maintaining building cleanliness and grounds. The technician provides customer service to residents and must work some weekends or evenings and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. After 12 months of employment, the employee is eligible to earn an EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification paid for by Bozzuto. The position is eligible for additional bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Availability for property emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to commute to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sharp, professional appearance.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using software, apps, and computer programs.
• A service mentality and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Resolve service tickets and perform preventative maintenance with care and concern for residents.
• Address maintenance issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain the building's appearance and community safety through general upkeep, cleanliness, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
• Provide outstanding customer service to residents.
• Work weekends or evenings and participate in on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.
