About The Position

The Hotel Maintenance Technician helps ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of hotel facilities and equipment. The role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The technician proactively identifies potential problems to minimize downtime and support guest satisfaction, and works with other hotel departments to prioritize maintenance and respond to urgent repair needs. The position supports the hotel's reputation by maintaining the functionality and appearance of the property.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in general maintenance or a related technical field.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between hotel facilities as needed.
Available to work weekends.

Experience working in a hospitality or hotel environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Certification and experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests, diagnose issues, and complete repairs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with management and other departments to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to hotel operations.
Follow safety regulations, hotel policies, proper procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
