About The Position

TREK Development Group is seeking an engaged and passionate Maintenance Technician for its Grandview South and Cedarwood Homes properties, which comprise 77 units. The technician performs inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance, takes pride in the community, and uses hand and power tools to solve day-to-day maintenance issues. This role works under the direction of the Community Manager.

The position offers a $500 sign-on bonus, paid after 30 days of employment. After 90 days, employees may opt to work four 10-hour shifts or a Tuesday–Saturday schedule each week. The role may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours to support emergency repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of multi-site, multifamily, or multi-property operational management experience, preferably involving a mix of residential property types, or comparable hotel, resort, or retail management experience.
• At least two years of advanced hands-on experience in one or more trades, such as plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, or electrical repairs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Child abuse clearances and a background check are required.
• Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including occasional lifting or moving of items up to 80 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school and/or industry-trade certifications or degrees, such as NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform necessary repairs to vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Diagnose, repair, or replace building and apartment components, including HVAC items, windows, doors, fixtures, appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, walkways, flooring, paint, carpeting, and drywall.
• Follow RRP protocol for painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs as needed.
• Help maintain the property's exterior and grounds, including snow removal.
• Complete work orders promptly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and components.
• Know the locations of utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service calls.
