About The Position

WGNSTAR, an ABM company, is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician L1 in Malta, New York. The role performs preventative maintenance on equipment and systems in a high-tech cleanroom environment, following safety, quality, and documented procedures. Technicians use tools and equipment to complete assigned work, collaborate with teammates to address problems and support production goals, and develop technical skills that may support future career advancement. The schedule is a rotating 12-hour compressed work week: four days on and three days off, with day or night shifts. Compensation is $20 per hour, plus overtime, a 10% night-shift premium, and a $500 sign-on bonus. The position is eligible for WGNSTAR’s benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), as well as paid vacation, select holidays, overtime opportunities, on-site facilities, and career development opportunities. The role requires working in a cleanroom while wearing protective equipment. Physical activities may include walking more than five miles per day, standing for 8–10 hours at a time, bending, twisting, pushing or pulling, crouching, kneeling in confined spaces, working at heights or on a ladder, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; this role does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
