Data Center Technician L1

NTT Global Data Centers•Hillsboro, OR
•$33 - $61

About The Position

The Data Center Technician provides working-level data center knowledge and is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of data center electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. The role follows processes designed to maximize customer uptime cost-effectively, rapidly identify and repair problems, ensure contractors deliver quality services, and meet internal customer demands. The technician operates, monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and building monitoring and control systems. The position supports preventive and predictive maintenance, reviews and improves operating efficiency, coordinates contractor work, and helps avoid unplanned customer-impacting events. Work is on-site in a data center environment, with varying temperatures and loud noises. The position may require nights, holidays, weekends, and participation in after-hours notification and escalation protocols. The posting also includes a remote-work statement that conflicts with its explicit requirements that the role must be on-site and that no telecommuting is permitted; therefore, the work location is unclear from the posting.
