About The Position

The L1 (Entry Level) Engineer-General Maintenance is responsible for skilled maintenance and repair duties for the property, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing tasks, as well as preventive maintenance projects.

Requirements

High school diploma, trade school certification, and/or equivalent work experience; these qualifications are preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the appropriate state and a motor vehicle record in good standing.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Effectiveness in anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving workplace problems.
Effectiveness in listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
Ability to assimilate complex information and data from disparate sources and adjust or modify it to meet the constraints of a particular need.
Ability to prioritize departmental functions to meet due dates and deadlines.
Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to stand for long periods, work in confined areas as necessary, and move quickly to various areas of the property.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of machines and maintenance and repair using basic hand and power tools.
Senior manager and/or other certification as required by the franchise.
