Maintenance Technicians - Part Time - $23 per hour

About The Position

The theatre maintenance person performs minor repairs throughout the theatre, including in the projection booth, but does not perform equipment or maintenance work covered by the Technical Services Department. The role may be classified according to theatre needs and employee availability as variable-hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly. The employee represents Regal in a manner consistent with its mission statement and policies and may be assigned other duties by theatre management.

Requirements

Prior maintenance experience is preferred.
Certified as a cast member.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with management staff in oral and written form.
Ability to listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and explain information to others.
Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, recognize possible causes and alternatives, reach evidence-based conclusions, and implement solutions.
Ability to take initiative and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform under pressure and/or opposition.
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and show sensitivity to others' feelings.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including regularly lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
Inspect auditorium seats, keep them in good working order, and repair broken seats promptly.
Perform tile work and sheetrock repairs.
Train theatre personnel to perform minor repairs and maintenance properly and safely.
Change light bulbs as needed.
Perform painting and other minor repairs.
Complete the daily inspections report.
Work with management to obtain qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
Know how to arm and disarm the alarm system and operate it generally.
Be aware of all safety and emergency procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance appropriate to the safety and comfort requirements of the work.
