About The Position

The theatre maintenance person performs minor repairs throughout the theatre, including in the projection booth, but does not perform work on equipment or maintenance covered by the Technical Services Department. The position may be classified according to theatre needs and employee availability as variable-hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly. The employee represents Regal in a manner consistent with its mission statement and policies, maintains a professional appearance, and works with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Prior maintenance experience is preferred, but not stated as required.
Must be certified as a cast member.
Ability to work independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, orally and in writing; listen effectively, respond clearly, and explain information to others.
Ability to identify problems, gather and evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, draw evidence-based conclusions, and implement solutions.
Ability to take initiative and perform under pressure or opposition.
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and show sensitivity to others.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including regularly lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Attend work regularly and consistently.
Inspect and repair auditorium seats promptly to keep them in good working order.
Perform tile work and sheetrock repairs.
Train theatre personnel in safe and proper minor repair and maintenance practices.
Change light bulbs as needed and perform painting and other minor repairs.
Complete the daily inspections report.
Work with management to obtain qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
Know how to arm and disarm the alarm system and operate it generally.
Follow safety and emergency procedures.
Represent Regal consistently with its mission statement and policies, maintaining a professional appearance appropriate to the safety and comfort of the work.
