The Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and preventative care for a residential property, resolves service requests, prepares vacant apartments for move-in, and helps keep the building and grounds safe, clean, and attractive. The role includes resident service, weekend or evening work, and participation in on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies. After 12 months of employment, the employee is eligible to earn an EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification paid for by Bozzuto. The position offers a salary range of $55,000–$58,000 USD and eligibility for additional bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Availability for property emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to travel to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using software, apps, and computer programs.
• A service mentality and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Resolve resident service tickets and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by completing turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain the building’s appearance and community safety through general upkeep, cleanliness, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Work weekends or evenings and participate in on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.
