About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to address maintenance requests, perform general repairs, and complete apartment turns between tenants. The ideal candidate has experience in various trades, is self-motivated and professional, and responds to the needs of residents and property management. This is a 1099 contract position in Wabash, Indiana.

Requirements

• Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a skilled trade.
• Own tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Smartphone with camera and email access for job documentation and updates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC troubleshooting, drywall repair, painting, and appliance installation.
• Complete apartment turns, including cleaning, touch-ups, hardware replacement, and necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with residents and staff.
• Document work performed and communicate job status through the property management system.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with local building codes.
