About The Position

The Maintenance Technician – Power Generation is a field-based, multi-craft maintenance role supporting AMP’s mission-critical power generation fleet at data center and other power generation sites. The role is primarily mechanical, with strong low-voltage electrical troubleshooting responsibilities. Technicians perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Dynamis gas turbine generator packages and associated balance-of-plant equipment to promote safety, availability, reliability, and equipment life. The fleet includes aero-derivative packages such as the DT35 with the GE LM2500+G4 and the DT70 with the GE LM9000. The technician works across the complete package, including mechanical auxiliaries, fuel and lubrication systems, hydraulics, cooling and ventilation, starting systems, generator auxiliaries, controls, instrumentation, low-voltage electrical systems, and other site equipment. The position is field-based and involves frequent travel on assigned rotational or hitch schedules, including on-call support as required. The schedule is described as two weeks on and two weeks off; work may also include nights, weekends, holidays, callouts, maintenance outages, and extended hours when needed for mission-critical operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, hands-on industrial maintenance experience, mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability, and low-voltage industrial electrical troubleshooting capability. The employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, be at least 18, hold a valid U.S. driver’s license, meet applicable pre-employment screening requirements, and be proficient in spoken English. Work takes place at field jobsites and, when not traveling, in a warehouse or shop. The role involves physical activity, heavy lifting, PPE, and exposure to industrial hazards and varying weather and temperatures.
