About The Position

Winfield Property Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to maintain Sheridan Springs Apartments. The position performs general repairs and preventive maintenance to help ensure the property meets standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. It reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is on call for emergencies.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
• Ability to provide and use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with tenants, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to the success of Winfield Property Management.
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods; climb ladders; bend and crawl into awkward spaces; operate power equipment; lift 50–100 pounds at a time; and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Pool certification, EPA certification, HVAC certification, or Fair Housing Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to facility equipment and systems.
• Inspect equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.
• Conduct quarterly preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Handle tenant service requests and complete repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely manner while interacting professionally and courteously with tenants.
• Perform general onsite safety repairs to protect the property and residents.
• Refurbish residences prior to occupancy.
• Be on call for emergencies.
