About The Position

This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues. The technician will also be responsible for identifying and repairing safety concerns, documenting all corrective actions, and ensuring proper lighting in work areas. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Maintenance Certificate / Millwright / Electrical or Electronic Certificate.
• 3 Years experience in Maintenance.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Training in electrical trouble shooting.
• Training in mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Some machining and some welding.
• Understanding of WHMIS.
• Understanding of Injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
• Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
• Understanding of Forms, Tags and Labels governing job function.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM duties on equipment per PM Schedule.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic problems and repair.
• Troubleshoot electrical / electronic problems and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems.
• Record corrective action.
• Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
• Record repairs on PM forms.
• Provide proper lighting to work areas.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other Senior Management.
