Ecolab is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Millwright to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, make repairs and modifications to equipment, and repair the facility as needed. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years Millwright experience in industrial maintenance environment (chemicals/plant)
  • Must be able to work possible overtime including callouts, weekends, holidays, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • 1 years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment
  • 1 years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • 1 years of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrating an ability to use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and total indicator reading (TIR) indicators.
  • Demonstrating an ability to use the CMMS software.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of reading basic drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrating engagement and wants to learn more.
  • Demonstrating capability of rebuilding Seals and repairing agitators.
  • Demonstrating ability to check bearing fits and measure runouts.
  • Demonstrating ability to use all shop tools and can identify the correct tool for the task at hand.
  • Ensuring capability to be trained and applying knowledge to use carry deck crane or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • NCCR/Millwright Certification
  • Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning and/or boiler operations
  • Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, specifically a wide variety of pumps.
  • Experience with welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves and rigging
  • Experience in a Lean Environment

Responsibilities

  • Repair and perform equipment upgrades on all ANSI pumps, Vikings, and Blowers.
  • Perform and check pump alignment and/or vibration.
  • Use basic hand tools and cut gaskets as well as shims.
  • Repair and perform equipment upgrades on all API pumps.
  • Rebuild Seals and repair agitators.
  • Check bearing fits and measure runouts.
  • Use all shop tools and identify the correct tool for the task.
  • Be trained and apply knowledge to use carry deck crane or equivalent.
  • Take maintenance callouts.
  • Foster a safety-first culture by actively making safety observations and correcting unsafe behaviors.
  • Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
  • Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment, specifically pumps, blowers, agitators, and other rotating equipment.
  • Conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
  • Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation.
  • Operate hand tools, forklift, and man lifts.
  • Interface with production/warehouse supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensure that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition.
  • Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks.
  • Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system.
  • Complete all paperwork assigned and coordinate with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded.
  • Read, understand and use IOMs or blueprints to tear down / rebuild equipment.
  • Perform repairs, inspections, make any necessary adjustments, and document the results.
  • Install, repair, maintain and perform Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on any and all pumps, gearboxes, agitators, compressors, blowers, centrifuges, and conveyors.
  • Perform maintenance duties in the field and the pump shop.
  • Handle and operate a variety of tools to complete the job at hand.
  • Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
  • Ensure operation and inspection of mobile equipment such as Carts, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and JLG Boom Lifts.
  • Walk on elevated catwalks over 15 feet high and work in confined spaces to perform daily duties.
