About The Position

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support 250 affordable housing units across scattered sites at Brunswick Holborn Apartments in Dorchester and Roxbury, Massachusetts. The role performs maintenance functions in rental units, residential common areas, the office, grounds, and parking lots. The stated pay range is $27.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-week on-call rotation each month.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving-record standards in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical training.
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).
• Lead Based Paint certificate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC issues.
• Lead and train Maintenance Technician I and II staff.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company operating procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and ensure they are market ready according to company standards.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspections, and annual unit inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies according to a predetermined schedule and need.
