About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I supports property upkeep at ReNew Riverwalk by completing routine repairs, service requests, and make-ready tasks while building foundational trade skills. The role includes maintaining grounds and common areas, assisting with inspections and preventative maintenance, supporting seasonal preparation and storm response, keeping work and storage areas clean, and responding to on-call and emergency service requests. The technician follows safety protocols, maintains a basic personal tool kit, and completes required training and compliance courses. Additional duties consistent with the position may be assigned. The role is part-time and scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required as needed. The position involves indoor and outdoor work in varied weather conditions, administrative work at a computer, and use of mobile devices in the field. Compensation is $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, plus lease renewal bonuses.

Requirements

At least 1 year of maintenance or porter experience; multifamily experience is preferred.
Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
Understanding of chemical safety procedures.
Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.
Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Professional and respectful conduct with residents and teammates; eagerness to learn; reliability, punctuality, and safety focus; responsiveness to supervisor direction and feedback.
Ability to perform regular sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands and arms.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Vision abilities including close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet.
Ability to use a personal computer for administrative tasks and mobile devices in the field.
