Maintenance Technician C
About The Position
With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician C performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. The position requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to complete routine maintenance and repairs. Technicians work on a single fleet with advanced equipment, supporting drivers and servicing vehicles. The role includes maintaining basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance and some repairs, inspecting equipment for potential issues, and completing applicable company training. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification T8 PM.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Maintain basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
- Perform vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments.
- Change oil and replenish fluids.
- Make adjustments and light repairs, including tire changes.
- Perform basic electrical work, such as changing lights.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools.
- Complete applicable Company training programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
