This apprenticeship program is designed to train individuals in maintenance activities under the guidance of experienced technicians. The apprentice will gain multi-craft skills in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, assist in troubleshooting, and learn diagnostic processes. A strong emphasis is placed on safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE usage. The role involves hands-on experience with equipment disassembly, repair, and reassembly, as well as documentation of maintenance activities and maintaining organized work areas. The program includes structured mentorship, rotations through mechanical and electrical departments, and requires enrollment in an approved Mechatronics Engineering Technology program. The apprentice will apply learned concepts in the workplace and demonstrate a commitment to safety, learning, and adherence to procedures. Other duties as assigned within the scope of training and development are also expected.
