About The Position

Ackermann Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 for Austin Park Apartments, a 226-unit community in Miamisburg, Ohio. This is a training role that provides opportunities to develop proficiency in the maintenance trade. The technician delivers customer service by completing unit make-readies and maintenance tasks, supporting grounds and equipment upkeep, and responding to basic service requests. The role includes intermediate repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, snow removal, and periodic after-hours emergency response.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience demonstrating broad knowledge of general maintenance.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Community Manager.

Nice To Haves

EPA Type I and II certification, CAMT certification, and/or CPO certification.

Responsibilities

Perform unit make-readies and intermediate repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC, and painting.
Assist with snow removal, grounds upkeep, and equipment upkeep.
Perform physical exterior grounds maintenance and janitorial duties to preserve and maintain the apartment community and its facilities.
Manage pool water, if applicable.
Participate in move-in and move-out inspections.
Perform general property maintenance as identified by the supervisor.
Prepare for and remove snow during snow events.
Respond to periodic after-hours emergency maintenance requests.
Participate in community- and equipment-related preventive maintenance tasks.
Participate in inventory management of maintenance line items as needed.
Complete other work-related tasks assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
